Methodology

Two-stage fee model: USDT card fees split into ① topup stage (issuer's cut when you move USDT onto the card) + ② transaction stage (per-swipe fee). Shown separately to avoid confusion.
Topup fee: one-time at topup. MPCard 0% (free); Bybit 0.65%; Wirex / MetaMask Card / RedotPay ~1%; BitPay includes a $5 monthly fee.
Per-transaction fee: per-swipe percentage. MPCard 0.6%; Crypto.com 0.7%; Wirex 1.75%; Bybit 0% (already taken at topup).
Small-amount surcharge: some cards add a flat fee on transactions ≤$30 (e.g. MPCard $0.30/txn).
Effective fee rate = fees ÷ topup amount. This is the real cost you bear.
Excludes on-chain gas: blockchain miner fee at topup (TRC20 ≈ $0.95); identical across cards.
Excludes one-time issuance fee (e.g. MPCard 9.9 USDT), not amortized per topup.
